Suboxone treatment provides an alternative to methadone maintenance treatment. Maintenance treatment has been shown to be far more effective than detoxification in the treatment of dependence/addiction to opiods such as heroin, oxycontin, hydromorphone, fentanyl, morphine, etc.

Slow-release oral morphine is widely used for pain, but there is growing evidence for its use in long-term treatment of opioid dependence and addiction.  To see if you quality for this emerging mode of treatment and other details of the program, consult with your physician.

Evidence shows that correcting low testosterone could cause improvements in sexual functioning. This can help patients affected by opioid-induced and/or age-related declines in testosterone.   

Adult Attention Deficit Disorder happens more frequently among patients with substance abuse than the general population.  Gone untreated, this condition can make substance abuse worse and cause problems in maintaining employment, relationships and working towards recovery.
